What You’ll Need:

  • Materials: Paper (choose A4, Letter, or A0 based on your preference and availability), printer.
  • Device: Computer, tablet, or smartphone to download and view the pattern.

Step 1: Download Your Files

  1. Check Your Email:
After purchasing, you’ll receive an email titled "Download Your Etsy Purchase from Yabbeys".

    • If you can’t find it, check your spam or junk folder.
    • Important:

If you used Apple Pay with an anonymous email address, you may not receive the email.

To avoid issues, please make sure to purchase using an email address you can access.

  1. Access Files:
Open the email, and you will find files for:

    • A0 patterns (large format, for professional printers).
    • A4 or Letter patterns (standard home printer sizes).
    • Instructions file for reference.
  2. Save Files:

    • On Mac: Use Safari or Preview to open and save files in your Downloads folder.
    • On iPhone: Use Safari and Preview for file access.
    • On Windows: Use Chrome or your default browser to download and save files.

Step 2: Print Your Pattern

  1. Choose Your Paper Size:

    • Letter (8.5 x 11 inches): Commonly used in the US, Canada, and a few other countries.
    • A4 (210 x 297 mm): Standard in most other countries.
    • A0 (33.1 x 46.8 inches): For large-format printing at copy shops.
  2. Home Printing (Letter/A4):

    • Open the file on Acrobat Reader.
    • Adjust the print settings to “Actual Size” or “Scale 100%” to maintain the pattern’s accuracy.
    • Test print the first page and use a ruler to verify the scale before printing the full set.
  3. Copy Shop Printing (A0):

    • Bring the A0 file to a copy shop like FedEx or Staples for large-format printing.
  4. Phone to Printer:

    • Ensure your printer is connected to WiFi.
    • Select “Print” and confirm paper size and scale settings.

Step 3: Assemble Your Pattern

  1. Lay Out the Pages:
Spread the printed pages on a flat surface, such as a table or floor. Match the notches at the edges of the pages to align the pattern pieces.

  2. Trim or Fold Borders:

    • Carefully trim away the borders using scissors or a rotary cutter.
    • Alternatively, fold the edges for easier alignment.
  3. Join the Pages:

    • Use tape or glue to securely connect the pages. Ensure all notches align perfectly for accuracy.

Step 4: Use Your Pattern

  1. Cut or Trace:

    • Straight lines: Indicate where to cut your fabric.
    • Dotted lines: Represent the seam allowance and sewing guide.
  2. Check the Fit:
Verify all pieces align properly before starting your project.
