Designed By Brooklyn Shoe Space
Birkenstock sandals are a staple in our lives these days! If you want to jazz it up a bit, you can purchase a component footbed, and foam or rubber outsole, or reuse your old birkenstock, take them apart, cover the footbed, and make it your own.
MATERIALS
Each pair requires 5-6 sq ft of fabric. Here we used old jeans. We used up most of the legs.
Leather to use to cover the footbed (1mm thick, thin and stretchy is ideal)
Outsole rubber (3-4mm EVA foam or rubber with treads)
LEVEL
Intermediate
SIZES
You will use your own footbed and your feet as a reference to create the pattern.
