Printing Instructions
We understand that printing patterns at home can use up a lot of paper and ink, so we've optimized our files to minimize page count and maximize space usage.
A4 Size
- Used in most countries (88 of 148), excluding the U.S., Canada, and others listed below.
- Standard dimensions: 210 x 297 mm.
US Letter Size
- Used in: United States, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, and the Philippines.
- Standard dimensions: 8.5 x 11 inches (216 x 279 mm).
A0 Size (for Copy Shops)
- Prefer fewer pages? Use the A0 file at a local copy or print shop.
- No cutting or taping needed — just email or bring in the A0 file from your pattern PDF.
- A0 paper dimensions: 841 x 1189 mm (33 x 46 in.).
How to Print at Home
Select File > Print
If you have Acrobat Reader, you can print only the size you need by unchecking size layers you do not need by selecting the layer icons on the left . Leave base layers checked.
Under Page Sizing & Handling, select: “Actual Size” or “Scale 100%”
Test by printing only the first page, and confirm the ruler prints to scale.
Print the rest once confirmed.
Print remaining pages.
If printing from a phone, ensure it's on the same Wi-Fi as the printer.
