This beautiful dress was inspired by floral dresses worn by Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner. With gathered elbow-length sleeves and elegant details like a longer skirt in the back, this dress is both super easy to wear and elegant. It’s the sort of dress that is so breezy and comfortable you could wear around the house, or dress up with nice shoes and wear it to a garden wedding.

This intermediate sewing pattern can be made in a variety of fabrics - just make sure that the fabrics are lightweight or soft and slinky so the skirt has movement. It could be made out of soft drape wovens or a light jersey, but anything with stretch would be more challenging to sew. The dress has a lining.

3.6 yards or 3.3m (45") or 2 yards or 1.8 m (54") of fabric for the shell and the same amount of fabric for the lining. If you choose not to line the bottom skirt, you can reduce the lining fabric by 1-1.5m. Choose a fabric that drapes softly (or is “flowy”). Recommended fabrics: rayon, cotton lawn, cotton/polyester eyelet, silk, polyester, or cotton/polyester blends.
